The burn!

Last night at my Grandma's house, Hayden walked to my mom, who was getting herself some spaghetti from the stove. Hayden reached up and grabbed the edge of a cookie sheet that was hanging off the edge of the stove. None of us saw that the burner that the cookie sheet was on, was left on. It was red hot and Hayden grabbing it for that split second burned her poor baby hand! It was awful! We ran it under water and dunked her hand in a bowl of ice water, put aloe on it, and gave her Tylenol. Thankfully my uncle and future aunt were there and are both nurses. They said to give it air and not to wrap it. Her poor hand has blisters on her palm and her four finger tips. It was so scary and all I wanted to do was take her pain away. I gave her another half dose of Tylenol before bed, and thankfully she slept fine. She woke up this morning showing me her hand and saying "Ow!"

Going Green?

I just read this cloth diaper review Go Long Go Green. I kind of need to try these diapers. I'm selling my girly Bum Genius 4.0 One Size diapers if anyone is interested. They just don't fit my skinny girls quite as well as I'd like, plus I like trying new ones!

She's got heart

Ella had a big day. Not exactly a fun day. She had to get a heart monitor for another 24 hours. She was not exactly thrilled with it. When it was being put on. Poor baby is going to have to deal with it for the rest of her life. God just gave her a special heart. She also had her 4 month appointment. She's a big girl now! She's 11lbs 4 oz and 24 1/4 inches! Okay, so not exactly a BIG girl. She's tiny. She's in the 10th percentile for weight and the 51st for height. The 10th percentile is much better than when she was barely in the 1st percentile 2 months ago!
Big sister weighting at UMC. Check out her adorable bows from Sweetness Bows!
Sweet baby with her heart monitor, and band aids from her shots. She slept for 3 hours after we got home. All tuckered out.
In between appointments we met my dad, step-mom, and step-aunt for lunch at Chuy's. The girls love getting Grampa love.
Ella snuggling with Aunt Peppy.
Grammy and Gramps getting some grandgirls time!
While Ella was napping Hayden and I went outside to have some water fun. She was so funny! Every time I'd spray her she'd run around like crazy and come and hug my legs! She just had to make sure I got wet!

Hi! My name is Drama.

She's pretty cute, right? Riiiight. Don't let that face fool you. Note the bags under her eyes, note the crazy hair. (She does have two pigtails going on, but one got wacked out during her nap.) Anywho, I've changed her name to Drama. Terrible twos are hitting this girl hard. She woke up from her nap by throwing a GIGANTIC fit. The kind of fit where she throws herself backward every chance she can get, screams and cries, does the wet noodle when I try to pick her up, and nothing will soothe her--- except for going outside. Yah, weird, but it's the only thing that calms her down, most of the time.

My sleeping angel, who slept for 2 whole hours like this...

Finally calmed down after a change to jammies and some fresh air.
I know you're thinking, that there's no way this adorable girl is crazy.
Just look at her, so sweet and wiping Daddy's face after lunch at Olive Garden.

And giving her Daddy kisses...

Being a good girl, enjoying an Eegee...

Had to throw in some adorable pics of sweet, sweet Ella bug, (who can go a little crazy herself...)
Enjoying some Mommy time while Hayden slept.
Here we go... her is Drama in the flesh. I know you're probably thinking again, "You took a picture instead of trying to calm her?!" Yep, I did. There was no calming this drama queen. She was mad about leaving the store. She kicked, screamed, cried, screamed some more the whole way home. Sigh.

Ella Sophia is 4 months!

Ella Sophia,
Darling girl, you are a big 4 months old! You are such a sweet baby. You laugh and coo all of the time now! You coo in the car and it's so cute to listen to you! So much better than the screaming you used to do every time you were in the car! You are so, incredibly, loved by your big sister. You love to get kisses, in fact, that's how I got your first laugh at me! You can roll from your tummy to your back and you are holding your head up really well now! You have the sweetest smile and I love to see it when you first wake up in the morning! You are such a happy girl! You are still tiny and are 10 lbs 12oz. You wear size 1 diapers, and 0-3 month clothes. I love to kiss your tiny baby feet. You are amazing.

I love you with all my heart,
Mommy

Sunday Funday

We went to the zoo after church! We were smart and got the family membership a few months ago. Best $40 we've spent! We love the Reid Park Zoo!

The girls are ready for the fun!
Ellabug, snuggled up with her burp rag that we must always keep close at hand! (She's very spitty!)
Checking out the lions with Daddy.
Doesn't get much cuter than this! This terrified face, is because Daddy was attacking her with a stuffed snake! (She really was laughing after each time he did it!) I just think this picture is hysterical!
Here's the snake attack!

On another note, Sunday's I try to look my best. It's definitely not always possible, and end up in jeans at church quite often (GASP!). I usually end up changing clothes about 5 times and, more often than not end up leaving in the first outfit I tried on. I really need to declutter my closet and get rid of, well... pretty much everything. I'm thinking about trying to make a "Closet" page on here to sell things that I don't want anymore from my closet and the girl's closets. 99% of the clothes in my closet do not get worn and haven't gotten worn. It's sad. They need a good home.

Anywho- I'm going to start doing a Sunday Splash of Color. Show you some amazing nail colors that you may want! It's an easy way to feel a little bit put together! I'm vowing to expand my nail colors from only pinks and reds. It's totally taking me out of my comfort zone, but it'll be fun!

Commitment or Committed?

That is the question. Do I have the commitment to do this or should I be committed for thinking I can actually do it? The "it" I'm talking about is the fact that I just downloaded the $2.99 app that is the famous Couch to 5k. Crazy, yes, come on... I'm carrying 60+lbs that have GOT to go. I blame 2 babies, and the love of food and the hatred for exercise. My 10 year HS reunion is in October and I'd like to go back with a bangin' bod. Uhhh.... as of now, it's a blimpy bod.

Tomorrow... it starts. Fingers crossed that I'll actually commit to it. Anyone want to join me?

23 months of Hayden Isabella

Hayden Isabella,
You are an amazing girl. You are now 23 months old. I can't believe that next month you are going to be 2 years old. You've done so much in your short life and I can't wait to see what else you are going to do! You are the best big sister to Ella! You love to hold her hands and feet. You kiss her all of the time and she loves it! You love playing outside, reading books, and coloring. You are wearing anywhere from 18 months to 2T size clothes. You're still pretty petite. I hope you always are a tiny girl, and get your Daddy's little skinny body! Ha! You are adventurous and sneaky sometimes. You're not always the best listener, even though I know you hear me! You're stubborn as all get out, and still bash your head when you get mad. That's gotta stop! You are in speech class every week and are finally starting to blossom, but still aren't really saying too many real words. You are wearing size 4 diapers and have zero interest in potty training! I ask you if you want to go potty and flat out tell me no! You love your babies and have to take one with us wherever we go. You give the best kisses in the world and I hope that you always love giving Mommy and Daddy kisses.
I love you sweet girl!
Love,
Mommy

Fun at Home

I have not gotten out of pajamas all day. I like those kind of days. No make-up, hair in a ponytail, however, I have brushed my teeth! The girls and I had an easy morning that started off by Hayden showing Ella how to use the Bumbo tray and all the fun you can have with toys sitting on it. Ella was very intrigued as you can see. Then Will got up and let Hayden open her birthday presents that came from my Aunt Carole, early. She was so excited to get two new books and the best present of all....
A SPRINKLER BALL!!
While Hayden played with the sprinkler ball, Ella kept cover under the patio. It was a little chilly today in the shade, and even in the sun when you're wet, but that didn't stop Hayden!
All that fun outside wiped both girls out. Yes, Hayden will be 2 next month, and, yes, that's her drinking her milk from a bottle. Yes, we're still fighting that battle. She's still refusing to drink milk out of anything else. When she/we were sick last week, she went 3 days without any milk, so I thought we would be in the clear and only offer it in cups, sippys, bowls, whatever else other than bottles. That didn't fly with Little Miss Stubborn.
Man, I love these girls.
I love that Hayden has to hold on to Ella whenever she's next to her.
I hope they always love each other as much as they do now.

What We Wore Wednesday

I'm going to start doing this "What We Wore Wednesday" series. Just for fun, you know I love clothes! We had our little outing to Target to get some cat food and diapers. Fun, right?! You know it! We started at Sauce for some of the yummiest pizza around!

Yah Buddy!

Check this new look out!! I did it all by myself too!! I'm quite proud of it! I did it all on Picnik! It took a little while but I love it!

Bloglovin'

Still the baby

Someone still likes to be the baby. Though she's not jealous... at all. :o)

New Name, Same People.

I've decided to change the name of my blog. It's fitting, right? I've been reading tons and tons of awesome blogs and want to zest mine up, but I'm not sure how unless I pay someone to customize mine. Some of my favorite blogs are Sometimes Sweet, Harper's Happenings, I Believe in Unicorns, and Kelly's Korner. I want to have an awesome blog and get paid for blogging like them. I need to commit to finding time to blog! Any suggestions?

Growing up

It's been a while because my computer hasn't let me upload pictures because it's old and full apparently.  I had it cleaned up a bit, but it's not letting me upload anymore pictures.  I'll see what I can do.

Anyway... My girls are growing up.  Hayden is a mere month away from 2! Ella is 3 months already! Hayden has been such an amazing big sister to Ella.  She's so loving to her, most of the time! :o)

A little recap on the girls:

Hayden is now 22 months old.  She's probably about 26lbs.  She's finally eating!! She actually ate a peanut butter sandwich for dinner! (I know, great dinner.) She's in speech therapy once a week and is "talking" a little more now. She said "na na" for "knock knock" today! She's also starting to say "Amen" after we pray.  It's so cute! She looks so cute when she prays.  She closes her eyes and bows her head.  I love to see that she is starting to know Jesus.  She's still not potty trained, not that she "should" be right now, but she is starting to acknowledge when she goes.  She still doesn't want to sit on the potty yet.  I'll ask her and she says "nope!"  She's funny.

Ella is doing really well and I believe she's finally up to 10lbs! I don't know for sure, but she feels like it and definitely looks like she's filling out.  She's so beautiful.  I'm trying to get her to nurse more.  Somedays she wants more bottle than she wants me.  It sucks.  Today was a good day and she only took one bottle, and the rest was from me.  I'm emotionally not ready to give up breast feeding her.  I know it's the best milk for her, and I don't feel like it's fair that I nursed Hayden for a year.  A year is what I want for Ella too, at least.  I think she just needed the boost of calories from the formula.

I can't believe she's 3 months!
Is this not the saddest look you've ever seen? :o( Hayden was messing with her.
Happy girl!
We took the girls to the fair!! We had so much fun and I got my foot long corndog! Yum! A nice, once a year treat! Hayden and Will rode the elephant together! (Pics of the fair to come, they are on the other camera!) Hayden had the BIGGEST smile on her face the whole ride! She also rode the big slide with her Daddy, and did NOT have the biggest smile! Ha! She had a terrified look until they got to the bottom! Then, she wanted to go again! So funny!
