What are big sisters for?

Big sisters are there to teach how to brush teeth, and throw dirty looks around.
Big sisters are there to stick stickers on baby heads.
Big sisters also make sure you have Sophie at all times!

Big sisters are smother little sister with love.

A serious one.

I didn't really want to go all serious on here, but I've gotta get this off my chest... literally, I guess. I'm really struggling with the fact that Ella isn't breast-feeding any more. I think I've cried everyday for about a week now. I feel like she got jipped. She only full time BF for about 2 months, then I was forced, yes, seriously forced to supplement. Looking back, no one was there to really support my breast-feeding. That really hurts. The doctor forced me to supplement because she was gaining weight slowly. Will forced me to give her bottles because "the doctor said we had to." Yes, she only gained 7 oz over a month, then gained 1 lb in a week after supplementing. Did she really NEED to gain a whole pound in a week? She WAS gaining weight from me, just very slowly, she was only 2 months old! My girls are both petite, I don't have huge, fat babies. Will's skinny! Thankfully they take after him! Yes, she has a heart condition that makes her burn calories faster, but she was a champ at breast-feeding! She was doing it all the time, she was getting plenty, and I loved doing it! I was going to BF for at least a year, like I did for Hayden! Hayden didn't get sick until that horrible week when Ella was 2 weeks old, passing the RSV onto her. Now, Ella wants nothing to do with BF. She just screams. And screams. When I pump I get nothing, well not nothing, but 1/2 -2 oz total. Not enough to make it worth my time, sitting there for 20 minutes with a screaming baby and a crazy toddler. I'm just sad. So sad. Will doesn't get it and tells me I should just get over it, she "needed" the supplement. I still don't believe in my heart that she did. I feel like I let her and myself down for giving in to the pressure. I'm so incredibly heart broken.

OMG, my girls are cute!

What can I say? I love these girls. It was just an uber cute day for them.

Ella's morning nap, seeing how it she woke up at 5:30am, early nap was at 8am. Sophie had to nap with my little Ella Sophia.
Little miss bright eyes, was awake at 5:30am also. Excited to head to swim lessons, I guess!
After swim we had some jumperoo time. Hayden was teaching Ella how to bounce!
Before bed, Hayden and I played with her kitchen! I broke out the apron and hat that my step-sis got her for Christmas! Surprisingly, she wore it the whole time we played!! She was so stinkin' cute! She made me lots of nummies! :o)

4 Years and Counting

4 years ago, I married my best friend on Best Friend's Day! June 8, 2007. It was a glorious, albeit, HOT day. That's what you get for getting married in June in Tucson, AZ! Everything was perfect.

4 years later, we have the most beautiful girls in the whole, entire world. Yup, I just pulled that card.
Ella had her very first taste of rice cereal today. She was thrilled as you can see!
Hayden had to try what her sister was eating. She immediately gave me the stink face, grabbed it out of her mouth, threw it on my leg and starting gagging. I'm guessing she won't want to taste it again.

Will and I went on a date too! My mom came over to watch the girls after work. (I'm so, incredibly thankful that we we still live where my family is!) We went to Macaroni Grill for some yumminess, then planned on seeing a movie. The movie idea fell through when we decided there was nothing that we really wanted to see. We ended up walking around the mall for a little bit then went to Coldstone Creamery! Yay for Birthday Cake Remix!

It was a wonderful day. I love my man. Even through our ups and downs, it's forever. He's never getting rid of me (Mu hahahahaha.... evil laugh!)

Just Keep Swimming!

Today was Hayden's very first swim lesson! She was amazing! She was so excited and was not scared at all! She even jumped off the side to me a few times! Unfortunately Daddy had to sit way off to the side so, we couldn't get any swim pictures! Lame! Then, some kid puked in the pool and everyone had to get out. Thankfully, we only had 5 minutes left! I feel bad for the kids who were supposed to have lessons after us because their lessons were cancelled!
Waiting, not so patiently!
Let's go!!
Daddy and Ella watching!
Swimming took a lot out of her, watching took a lot out of Daddy!

Memorial Day Recap

Our whole Memorial weekend was pretty crazy. We spent Memorial Day saying goodbye to my Uncle, soon to be Aunt, and cousin. The girls were, of course, dressed in their red, white, and blue outfits! Ella wore the outfit that Hayden wore for her first Fourth of July! Hayden was only 3 weeks old then, and Ella's 4 months, but it still worked! Frankly, it fit Ella better than it did Hayden at the time! Ella also wore a cute headband from Sweetness Bows.
Hayden had to say goodbye to the doggies too! Lily is the one with the diaper!

We then went over to my dad's house for a bbq. They always have the best food!
Dad grilling up the hamburgers and hotdogs!
Ella napped outside. She's so cute!
Gail set up the rest of the lovely meal inside!
Then we took off to Agua Caliente Park. Hayden slept for about 15 minutes when we got there.

This park is really a little oasis in the desert. It's pretty and has tons of palm trees.
And then, she woke up.
(Dad said, make sure you get a picture of the old people pushing the stroller!)
I love, love, love this picture!
Sweet Bug napping again!
I love this picture too!
Will chased Hayden around on the grass! She said "Run!" too!

Family

A) Sorry for the lack of posts! I couldn't find my camera cord! (And then I found it!)

B) I had family in town this Memorial Day weekend!! First, my Uncle Paul, soon to be Aunt Lori, and cousin Aidan came in. They came with their three crazy dogs. (One of which wears a diaper!) Hayden had a blast with Aidan! She loves playing with him! She wasn't exactly thrilled with the dogs though!

Then my Aunt Carole came in, followed by cousin Annelise and her boyfriend, Wyatt! It was fun seeing everyone. They all live in California. We all hung out at my grandma's house and went to Tanque Verde Guest Ranch for the amazing brunch on Sunday!

Here we are, 3 of the 4 cousins. Annelise's brother, Darin, couldn't make it.
Uncle Paul playing around with Aidan.
The three kids with Grandma. (Mom, Grandma, Uncle Paul, Aunt Carole)
